Belarusian nuclear power plant
The Belarusian nuclear power plant is located near the north-western border of the country, namely in the city of Vornyany
The total cost of construction is estimated at about 9 billion dollars
6 billion dollars for the construction of units with a nuclear reactor
And 3 billion to create infrastructure:
- The residential city of station employees
- Railway tracks
- Power transmission lines and etc
It is assumed that the full cost will be refunded within 15-20 years
Belarus produces about 30-34 billion kWh of electric energy annually
And it consumes about 37-38 billion kWh
The rest of the quantity of electricity is imported
The nuclear power plant will generate an additional 18 billion kWh of electrical energy per year .This will reduce natural gas consumption by about 5 billion cubic meters per year, and will also reduce the volume of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere by 10-7 million tons per year
